The Software Developer’s Prayer
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace
where there is code that I should have completed
where there are defects that I should have fixed
where there are deadlines that I should have met.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much as seek as
to be understood as to understand irate clients
to be supported as to support difficult applications
to be valued as to value quality software design.
For it is in debugging that we find errors,
it is in requirements that we find clarity,
and it is in camaraderie that we find harmony in work.
Amen.
